Using TextEdit to Add Document Info

Add more information to document with TextEdit (100% Mac).

  1. Create new TextEdit file; using keystrokes Command-N should accomplish this step
  2. Show up Document Properties Pane; Either using keystrokes Command-Option-P or using path (TextEdit) Menu Bar → File → Show Properties should help you open up this pane
  3. Save your new document
  4. Go to that document place, highlight it and get the info (using keystrokes Command-I or using contextual menu, i.e. Control-Click → Get Info
