Set Tags with Quicksilver
Posted by Wendy

Now we can set tags for multiple files.
- Invoke Quicksilver with keystrokes
Space - Go to Quicksilver Preference Pane using keystrokes
, - Move to Plug-ins tab and add new plug-in called File Tagging Module (+)
- Wait for the file to be downloaded

- Select and pass one item to Quicksilver using keystrokes
. I use Macintosh HD for example

- Move to Quicksilver action box using
key
- Search all actions that consist keyword tags
- Then you will see 4 tags actions : Set Tags, Add Tags, Show Tags and Remove Tags

- As before, pass up one item (or multiple items) to Quicksilver
- Set the action to Set Tags
- Move to next Quicksilver box and fill it with appropriate tag name
- This tags will appear in the Spotlight comment box with prefix @. This means that you can search with Spotlight using this tag

Showing Tags and Searching with Spotlight
- Pass up the items to Quicksilver that have the same tags name
- Use the Show Tags Action
- The tags for these files can be shown
- After you selected one of the tags, you can show another files with the same tag name with Spotlight using Show Files Matching Tag action

Using @ does not work properly when recovering tagged items. It is better to change @ to & in Quicksilver's preferences as this causes less conflicts and is more reliable...
