Calculator Module : Arithmetic Expression

  1. Change your QuickSilver to text field
  2. Insert = as a prefix to tell QuickSilver that you want to perform a calculation
  3. Insert your equation, e.g. sqrt(45x30). Be sure to use standard arithmetic operator : * (multiply), / (divide), + (adding), - (substraction), ^ (power), sqrt (square root)
  4. After pressing Return you will see the result
  5. Quick and Simple

Dictionary Module : Checking Word Definition

  1. Change your QuickSilver to text field
  2. Insert word you want to search inside dictionary
  3. Jump to Argument field by using Tab
  4. Use QuickSilver shortcut to find thesaurus. I use thes
  5. Hit the Return
  6. It's done, now you can see the result

File Compression Module

To compress files into archive.

  1. Select all files or folders you want to compress
  2. Trigger your QuickSilver
  3. Pressing Command-G to make them appear at QuickSilver search field
  4. Jump to Argument field using Tab key
  5. Select Compress Using.., using "com" for search words work fine for me.
  6. Tab again to select your compression method
  7. Hit Return

Flickr Upload : Upload your Images to Flickr

Provided that you have your Flickr account registered.

  1. Select all image you want to upload
  2. Trigger QuickSilver
  3. Press Command-G to bring them to QuickSilver search field
  4. Jump to Argument field using Tab
  5. Search for Flickr
  6. Pressing Tab again to jump to next field and fill in tags for your images
  7. Press Return. Now uploading..
  8. Flickr will ask your authorization for QuickSilver (if you haven't authorized before)
  9. Done and QuickSilver will bring you to your Flickr page

Gmail Module : Compose Mail

  1. First, you need to enable your Gmail module
  2. Go to QuickSilver Preference Pane, under Handlers tab
  3. Under Email, select Gmail Module
  4. Now your gmail module has been enabled
  5. Trigger QuickSilver and change into text field using Period
  6. Type all the words you want to be e-mailed
  7. Jump to Argument field using Tab then search Email To.. (Compose)
  8. Key in the address you want to send your e-mail to
  9. Pressing Return will bring you to your gmail Compose Mail field.
  10. Nice, isn't it?

Google Calendar Module : Add Event

  1. Trigger QuickSilver and enter text field using Period
  2. Type new event you want to add, e.g. Tea Party 10AM Saturday
  3. Press Tab to enter Argument field
  4. Search for Google Calendar Event, gcal works great for my QuickSilver
  5. If you haven't logged in your google calendar, QuickSilver will ask you to do so.
  6. After hitting Return, QuickSilver will add your event
  7. And you will receive the notification from QuickSilver
  8. When I check in to my google calendar. It's there..
