Set Finder Background

Posted by Wendy digg delicious su

Oh, I just remember that we can attach background image in our Finder. As I remember, we also can do this in Windows but with more complicated way and it's hard for me to know. Here I am to share with you how to use background inside Mac OS X Finder.

Before that, maybe this image below will give you brief explanation what will you achieve after reading this article. Have fun.

I humbly said that many people have known how to set finder background. However, I feel very happy to share my knowledge.

Ok, let's get started, tighten your seat belt and we fly together.

Step 1. Go to Finder Pane

This could be done easily, J pressed inside Mac Finder window and the pane will happily show its face. I believe it's so clear that I don't need to put any assistance snapshot.

Step 2. Enable Background View

Look at the bottom of the pane, you will find three button : White, Color and Picture. White is for using white background, color is for colorizing the background and to attach Finder background from image we need the Picture button.

Since bottom is a little bit relative since my friend said that the bottom one is the pane border, therefore this image below should help you (and him - my friend).

Step 3. Choose Image

Click on the Select button next to the Picture button and after that, choose your most favorite image. For finishing blow (sounds cool), click Select button.

All set and now you can enjoy your new born Finder background on your lovely Mac.

Oh almost forgot, I just created icons according to symbols (e.g. Command, Escape, etc you name it) I usually use in writing my article on this site, www.usingmac.com, with a little transformation and duplication on it, I believe you all will recognize what character is on each symbols.

And I will happily share this with you all. Feel free to download these icons.
