Inside Quartz Composer, there is a demo application that can add effect to your movie. This demo application is called MovieFX and can be found in Mac HD ▸ Developer ▸ Examples ▸ Quartz Composer ▸ Applications ▸ MovieFX.
After you've been inside MovieFX folder, you should search for MovieFX.xcodeproj file. Open that file with XCode and from XCode toolbar, choose Build and Go.
Up to this point, you should be able to see new pane opened with entitled MovieFX.
Before starting, you need to drop QuickTime Movie file you want to be processed. After that, you can select 1 of 61 effects you want to use. From those effects, I only like 18 effects though.
Those effects I like are Black & White, Color Controls, Color Invert, Color Pencil, Compound Eye, Crystalize, Exposure Adjust, Flip-Flop, Gamma Adjust, and Glow, as shown on the short video below.
And the rest are Kaleidoscope, MagicBall, Mirror, Monochrome, Neon, Sepia, Spotlights, and X-Ray.
Don't forget to export your movie after changes are made.
Some articles taken from our resource base, tightly related to current article, to empower you with more knowledge on tweaking the most out of your Mac.
When i export, it does not look like as in the preview.
Hey, I do not have Quartz Composer in my Macbook. Is it available in the MacOSX Installation Disk?
Honestly, I've always been more of a fan of just putting the monitor to sleep than screen savers. Sure they look pretty awesome, but if you're sitting at your computer, are you really doing so with the screen saver on?Good luck for the dates. It has been some times since we last heard about the next tour. I hope they can run it accordingly now.W96DsIkaTgRPt7hg

Hi, i think you’ve made some truly interesting points. Not too many people would actually think about this the way you just did. I’m really impressed that there’s so much about this subject that’s been uncovered and you did it so well, with so much class. Good one you, man! Really great stuff here. Will what Gary Robers suggests wipe out all your data? Is that what it's doing? Do these guys work on the Vista team or something?
