In most applications, there will be a bunch of shortcuts to help you boost your productivity. Especially in Mac, you will see more shortcuts than when you used Windows, it's just because Mac users are meant to be more productive and used less hand-mouse movement.
Some of the shortcuts, however, are not usually used, some are even not widely known. Today, I'd like to compile some of the useful shortcuts for Safari that you will probably use in the future, including the less-known but highly useful ones.

Here are the commands I use all the time in Safari: Ctrl+Tab = next tab Ctrl+Shift+Tab = previous tab Cmd+N = new window Cmd+T = new tab Cmd+W = close tab/window (if it is the last tab) Cmd+Z = undo closing the last tab (so if you close one by accident, hit Cmd+Z, this only works if it wasn't the last tab in the window though, if it was the last one, you need to look for the site in your history) Cmd+1 to 9 = Open bookmark from the bookmarks bar, counted from left to right Cmd+Shift+H = Go to home page Cmd+[ = Back (history) Cmd+] = Forward (history) Cmd+R = Reload page Cmd+Click on Back or Forward button = Open previous/next page in new background tab and stay on the current tab Cmd+Shift+Click on Back or Forward button = Open previous/next page in new tab and go to that tab Cmd+Q = quit safari, hit Quit to accept quit, then next time you open it, quickly go to History -> Reopen All Windows from Last Session to restore it (since it doesn't load tabs until you visit them, that is fine) Cmd+Click on a link = Open that link in a new background tab and stay on the current tab Cmd+Shift+Click on a link = Open that link in a new tab and go to that tab When typing a URL in the URL bar or a search term in the Search bar, use Cmd+Enter to open in a new background tab or Cmd+Shift+Enter to open in a new tab and go to that tab Cmd+L = jump to address bar to start typing Cmd+Option+F = jump to search bar to start typing
