Nowadays, screen savers are created with stunning effects combined with all possible movement enhancements. However, from all those screen savers, only few to provide screen savers with different functionality.

"Screen saver for showing movie, is such exist?" ask one of our readers. Indeed, there is such a screen saver and you will find many other screen savers with interesting ideas.

Display QuickTime Movies

As mentioned on the introduction part, there is a screen saver called SaveHollywood that can give you the freedom to have selection of movies to be displayed as screen saver mode turned on.

Instead of drowning up your Mac with Lotsa Water, on rainy day it's better to simulate rainy day for your screen saver.

I usually use my screen saver when I am going to idle for certain period of time. Because Mac got a security protection when we're going to release the lock from screen saver mode, it's particularly useful for me.
Indeed, it's not a wise move to run screen saver for the whole day/night.

Although I agree it’s a good idea to just turn off your screen instead of running a screen saver, I have to disagree that LCD screens cannot develop “burn in.” I have seen it many times working for different companies. Even the Apple Cinema Displays get burn in. In fact, my cousin’s LCD screen has burn in from where he left up a map for weeks. CRTs were much worse, but an LCD can still have that horrible ghosting affect.
