You need to draw the region first, then you will be able to move (or resize) the region by applying the modifier keys.

New to Apple. Can you tell me how to access the clipboard after you have captured a screenshot?
Figured out how to access the clipboard. Finder>Edit>Clipboard What is the best way then to email that screen shot, using Yahoo or hotmail? Thanks
