Daily Trick 42. Quick Terminal Command

If you're fans of single-liner for UNIX command, you can always use this quick Terminal command line execution trick to save the steps for executing Terminal command.
Here are the steps:
- Ctrl-Click on Terminal icon sitting on your Dock
- From the pop-up menu, choose New Command…
- Type the command line you want to execute on the appearing window pane
- And click on Run button for command line execution
With this trick, I am sure you can start to tweak around with simple command line, e.g. command line for New List View.

didn't work. Only OPTIONS and OPEN choices available in the pop up menu. Using snow leopard.

@webpick make sure terminal is running @keigo they are using OS X 10.6 snow leopard, the dock on it is a bit different

Honestly, I've always been more of a fan of just putting the monitor to sleep than screen savers. Sure they look pretty awesome, but if you're sitting at your computer, are you really doing so with the screen saver on?Good luck for the dates. Great daily tip as usual. This is gonna save me a ton of time. This cuts out like 30 percent of the time I waste doing UNIX commands. A system wide shortcut would still be awesome, but come on . . .this isn't Linux were working with here. What should we expect.
